Citi is seeking a Director to lead Payments Sanctions & Credit Risk Technology in Jersey City, NJ. You will own the full SDLC for mission-critical platforms, shaping strategy and delivering scalable solutions for Citi's global payments infrastructure.

Based in Jersey City, this hybrid role oversees globally distributed teams, drives transformation, and ensures compliance with laws and internal policies while advancing technology with AI and modern practices.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in application development.
• 10+ years in leadership roles for franchise-critical apps.
• 10+ years leading large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
• Deep understanding of designing highly available and scalable systems.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST services, Microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage multiple technology teams to maximize impact and align with business goals.
• Drive the design, development, and implementation of robust architectures and oversee the full SDLC.
• Champion an everything-as-code mindset and codified controls; promote continuous improvement and AI adoption.
• Collaborate with business and technology partners; present reviews to senior management and leaders.
• Mentor teams on risk management, compliance, and disaster recovery planning.
