Fora Travel in New York City is seeking a Director of Payment Operations to lead the advisor-facing financial operations as Fora scales its platform. You will own booking ingestion, commission tracking, and advisor payouts, partnering with Finance, Product, Engineering, and Operations to drive accurate, timely payouts.

This cross-functional leadership role requires hands-on execution, strong analytics, and a proven ability to build scalable processes, coach teams, and deliver measurable

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of experience in operations within a high-growth tech environment.
• Demonstrated success balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution and owning outcomes.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives with Finance, Product, Engineering and Operations.
• Strong analytical capabilities with KPI definition, operational reporting, and data-driven decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Sound judgment for decision making in fast-moving environments, elevating risk when needed.
• Experience developing high-performing teams with coaching and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operational quality of booking ingestion, commission tracking, QA, and advisor payout execution.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce manual effort and improve advisor experience.
• Own partnership with Finance including escalation paths for disputes, invoice corrections, and compliance.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define operational requirements for earnings and payout tools.
• Represent Payment Operations in cross-functional planning with senior leaders.
• Lead, coach, and develop teams across headquarters and the Philippines.
• Establish and monitor operational metrics with reporting visible to leadership.
• Analyze data to identify root causes and drive improvements across the business.
