Fora Travel in New York City is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead cross-functional sprint teams on Fora’s Finance pod, building the financial operating system for a new generation of travel entrepreneurs. You’ll own the complete lifecycle from bookings to commissions and advisor payouts, and work with Product, Design, Ops, and Engineering to set strategy and drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in engineering leadership roles (Engineering Manager or Tech Lead) including 1+ years managing managers.
• 8+ years experience in web systems development.
• Ability to mentor engineers, manage performance, and build highly motivated teams.
• Strong technical acumen with experience making architectural decisions, addressing debt, and setting standards.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Proven recruiting experience and collaborative leadership in an early- to mid-stage startup.
