Job summary

Fora is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead multiple cross-functional sprint teams on the Finance pod, owning the complete lifecycle from bookings to supplier commissions and advisor earnings. You will guide architecture, strategy, and delivery, collaborating with Product, Design, and Operations to achieve strong business outcomes.

The role requires a first-principles thinker who develops people and drives technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles (e.g., Engineering Manager or Tech Lead) in consumer-facing fintech space, including 1+ years of managing managers.
• 8+ years experience in web systems development.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, manage performance, and build motivated teams.
• Strong technical acumen with experience in architectural decisions and technical debt management.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills with ability to break down complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Proven recruiting experience and ability to represent the company positively.
• Collaborative, empathetic leadership with accountability and continuous learning.
