Job summary

North Knoxville Medical Center seeks a Director of Admissions to lead daily operations and strategic direction of admissions and patient access. You will ensure accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance while aligning with clinical, financial, and administrative leaders to optimize patient experience and revenue cycle performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or seven+ years of direct experience in lieu of a degree.
• Master’s degree preferred; leadership experience is valued.
• 3-5 years of related field experience with a Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, pre-admission, and financial clearance.
• Lead regulatory compliance efforts and audits in admissions and revenue cycle.
• Collaborate with SSC to monitor metrics and improve performance.
• Provide regular leadership reporting to CFO and facility leadership.
• Train staff on audit, compliance, and quality registration practices.
