Job summary

Avalara, Inc. is seeking a Director of Partner Community & Ecosystem Engagement to shape and scale the partner ecosystem across technology, accounting, consulting, and channel partners.

You will own strategy and execution of partner communications, content operations, digital experience, and ecosystem engagement at scale. Qualifications

• 10+ years in partner‑focused roles with leadership experience
• Proven ability to build, lead, and scale engagement and communications functions
• Executive-level written and verbal communication skills
• Strong strategic thinking and execution
• Deep understanding of partner ecosystems and program dynamics
• Data‑driven approach to optimize programs and priorities
• Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership through influence
• Ability to operate at strategic and executional levels, navigating ambiguity

Responsibilities

• Define and own the overarching partner ecosystem engagement strategy across technologies, accountants, consultants, and channels
• Lead partner communications strategy and governance across channels and audiences
• Own end‑to‑end partner content lifecycle and scalable content operations
• Drive digital partner experience through portals, hubs, and community platforms
• Amplify partner visibility through collaborative marketing, PR, and executive communications
• Enable partner readiness with aligned content for partners and the field
• Execute and scale partner engagement programs (webinars, campaigns, forums)
• Lead and develop a high‑performing team across strategy, communications, and operations
• Foster cross‑functional leadership and measure engagement effectiveness
