Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector seeks a Director, Organizational Effectiveness 2 to drive organizational health, performance, and transformation across the Defense Systems portfolio. The role is onsite with locations in Falls Church, VA; McLean, VA; Linthicum, MD; Huntsville, AL; Manhattan Beach, CA; or Roy, UT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 12+ years of experience in organizational development (OD) or a role demonstrating expertise.
• OR Master’s degree with at least 10 years of experience in OD/OE solutions.
• Experience operating within a $5B+ revenue manufacturing, technology or aerospace and defense organization with OD/OE outcomes.
• Demonstrated learning ability and adaptability to shifting priorities.
• Experience leading org design and large-scale change in a complex/matrix organization.
• Experience leading medium to large teams and influencing senior leaders on goals and initiatives.
• Outstanding organization and project management skills with delivery of high-quality programs.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration and relationship-building skills across diverse clients.
• Systems and strategic thinking with executive presentation proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to Defense Systems senior leadership on OE roadmaps and success measures.
• Translate business and people strategies into OE roadmaps with clear priorities and outcomes.
• Assess organizational health, identify issues, and recommend actionable solutions.
• Consult with HRBPs to develop talent strategies addressing business priorities.
• Design and implement organization design, operating models, and workforce alignment.
• Lead change management for major transformations and ensure adoption.
• Diagnose culture, engagement, and team effectiveness and design interventions.
• Define OE metrics and use data to drive continuous improvement.
