Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with at least five years in social services.
  • Ability to supervise managers and direct staff.
  • Passion for mission-driven work and ability to communicate this to others.
  • Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Planning, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, and Housing First.
  • Familiar with employment resources, programs, and income-earning activities.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed case management and crisis intervention for homeless populations.
  • Ability to analyze and compile data for planning and reporting.
  • Computer and data management literate.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration across stakeholders.
  • Familiar with cultural competency and confidentiality policies.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and empowerment.
  • Valid driver’s license and daily access to a car.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Middlesex and Veteran Services programs in coordination with the Chief Program Officer.
  • Directly supervise three managers and one coordinator.
  • Monitor budgets and allocate resources efficiently toward organizational goals.
  • Create a high performing culture in the department aligned with core values and mentor staff.
  • Set annual departmental goals and track results and accountability protocols.
  • Participate in the budget development process and maintain fiscal responsibility.
  • Represent Middlesex and Veteran Services on committees and task forces.
  • Monitor emerging needs of stakeholders, funders, clients, and employees.
  • Oversee coordination and delivery of all programs and contracts to meet funders’ expectations.
  • Provide data in response to government and foundation requests and coordinate planning for RFPs/RFQs.
  • Ensure delivery of qualitative and quantitative goals and outcomes.
  • Coordinate data to inform decision-making and determine staffing plans.
