Job summary

The Connection, Inc. is seeking a Director of Family Support Services in Middletown to provide high-level leadership over trauma-informed, outcome-driven family programs.

You will oversee case management, supportive housing, parenting support, residential and recovery services, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality assurance across the portfolio. Responsibilities include supervising staff, building community partnerships, and advancing strategic priorities within the Family & Child Services

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in family services, housing, behavioral health, or related programs.
• Minimum 2 years supervising staff or overseeing program operations.
• Clinical licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) strongly preferred.
• Experience with DMHAS, DCF, or similar state/federal partners.
• Training in trauma-informed practice, harm reduction, family systems, and evidence-based practices.
• Fluency in electronic documentation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level oversight and operational management of family-centered programs.
• Ensure trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and outcomes-driven services across programs.
• Supervise clinical staff and interns; maintain regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
• Develop partnerships and support program growth while aligning with organizational priorities.
• Coordinate integrated service delivery across Family Support Services.
