Job summary

American Electric Power seeks a Director of Business Transformation to drive strategic transformation within the Transmission organization. You will lead cross-functional teams, set KPIs, and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies to improve processes and organizational effectiveness.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and proven change-management capabilities, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the utility industry.
• Proven cross-functional transformation experience in utility or related industries.
• Certifications such as PMP, Lean or Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of transformation strategies aligned with the Transmission CoE vision.
• Oversee end-to-end process improvement across transmission operations.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to measure transformation success.
• Lead change management and develop communication plans.
• Build and lead a high-performing transformation team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and facilitate leadership updates.
