Job summary

Massachusetts Advocates Standing Strong (MASS) is seeking a full-time Director of Training & Program Development to oversee statewide training initiatives, leadership development programs, and program coordination.

The Director will work closely with the Executive Director, staff, self-advocate leaders, trainers, and community partners to support MASS programs across the state. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on coordination of trainings, systems, and staff support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred.
• 2–3 years in self-advocacy, disability rights, community organizing, leadership development, training coordination, or related experience.
• Experience facilitating trainings in person and/or virtual.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to travel within Massachusetts for trainings, meetings, and events.
• Commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and self-advocate leadership.
• Experience using Google Workspace and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for MASS training initiatives and leadership development.
• Coordinate and facilitate weekly training team meetings, practices, supervision, and resource-sharing sessions in-person and on Zoom.
• Oversee training schedules, materials, accessibility supports, and participant communications.
• Coordinate in-person, hybrid, and virtual trainings across Massachusetts.
• Work with staff and self-advocate leaders to identify and develop new training and leadership opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with external training partners and community collaborators.
• Lead curriculum development, accessibility practices, and facilitation supports.
• Review and update training materials to ensure consistency and quality.
• Coordinate logistics for trainings and events including technology, accommodations, schedules, and communications.
• Support data management and organizational systems as needed.
