Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field required.
• LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, or other behavioral health category which qualifies as Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts and at least five years post-licensure experience working in mental health services required.
• Ample experience as a trainer, coach, or training facilitator in social work or human services.
• At least 5 years of progressive clinical experience in residential, therapeutic & experiential learning environments required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and conducting group training.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of program models and training needs to inform curricula.
• Collaborate with MHCS Directors to develop trauma-informed, recovery-oriented curricula for diverse learners.
• Create educational training aids and maintain curriculum records.
• Market and promote training opportunities to MHCS staff to increase participation.
• Evaluate knowledge acquisition and apply learning to improve workforce skills.
• Organize train-the-trainer sessions and evaluate trainers for ongoing competency.
• Conduct orientation sessions and provide direct instruction as needed.
• Coordinate continuing education topics and apply for CE training for LPHAs.
