Job summary

Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services is seeking a Training Technician III to support statewide staff development and ongoing employee growth.

You will administer the LMS, analyze training data, design instructional content, support systems training, and coordinate projects for DDS staff, providers, families, and individuals.

This role requires collaboration with stakeholders, attention to accessibility standards, and the ability to travel within the state as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with learning technology, data analysis, and instructional design.
• Ability to translate needs into usable training materials.
• Experience supporting enterprise training platforms and systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer the LMS – user provisioning, course assignments, reporting and trouble shooting.
• Oversee Constant Contact licenses and access for DDS learning and Development.
• Support systems integration and training for core business and collaboration platforms (e.g., HR/case management systems, SharePoint, Teams).
• Maintain content libraries, archiving obsolete courses, version control.
• Design and develop training materials grounded in performance consulting and needs analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and develop performance expectations.
• Review existing training programs for effectiveness and alignment with goals.
• Collect and evaluate training data to identify success and improvement areas.
• Facilitate online and in-person learning events for staff, providers, families, and individuals.
• Provide and administer training technology; ensure content reflects current DDS practice, regulations and policy.
• Participate in regional and statewide committees to advance initiatives.
• Collaborate with local and statewide training staff to meet development needs.
• Stay current in instructional technologies and workplace learning research.
• Ensure content meets accessibility and technical standards before publishing.
• Other duties as assigned to support Commonwealth DDS initiatives.
