Job summary

TERREPOWER (formerly BBB Industries) seeks a Director, Total Rewards to lead compensation, benefits, and payroll for our diverse workforce across the US and Canada. This executive will shape pay philosophy, run merit cycles, oversee open enrollment, and ensure ERISA compliance while partnering with Finance and Legal.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strategic oversight, and the ability to communicate pay decisions clearly to executive leadership and HR teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR/Business/Finance required.
• 8+ years of progressive experience leading compensation, benefits and payroll initiatives.
• Experience designing base pay structures, incentive plans, and job leveling.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FLSA and related regulations.
• Experience managing broker/vendor relationships and RFP/renewal processes.
• Advanced Excel and HRIS/Payroll systems experience (Workday, UKG, ADP).
• Ability to operate strategically and at execution level; clear communication of complex pay concepts.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own TERREPOWER’s compensation, benefits, and payroll structures across all populations.
• Lead job evaluation, leveling, and internal equity reviews with HRBPs and managers.
• Drive market benchmarking, pay analysis, and regional adjustments to stay competitive.
• Design and administer merit, incentive, and plant-level plans; collaborate on cost modeling.
