Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Technical Training Senior Director to design and implement a comprehensive, organization-wide technical training program. You will lead curricula development, mentor trainers, and secure resources for a strategic training plan across departments.

You will oversee a team responsible for technician-level qualification training, ensure compliant, safe, and standardized programs, and drive ongoing improvements with innovative methodologies.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience creating technical training and leading a team of technical trainers in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Science or Education/Development.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak in large group settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
• Incumbent must be able to solve problems using LEAN methodologies to determine the root cause and develop a sound plan to address the problem.
• This position allows latitude in implementing training programs to meet site objectives.
• Incumbent must also utilize strategic planning skills and a long-range perspective to adequately prepare the organization for future demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational support for curricula development that is role and activity based.
• Develop site training capabilities using a train-the-trainer approach.
• Monitor learning maturity and ensure continuous improvement for training systems and programs.
• Leads a team of colleagues with responsibility for training and knowledge management.
• Serves as the business process owner for all technical training including technician level qualification training.
• Maintains training infrastructure that is safe and standardized and compliant with regulations.
• Develops innovative training methodologies enabling accelerated knowledge transfer.
• Ensures learning objectives are tied to business outcomes with clear measurement criteria.
• Work cross-functionally with enterprise level and site training leads on training methodology and tools.
• Develops material and training for plant employees.
• Coordinate training content with SMEs.
• Analyze current operating problems and future requirements to identify training needs and programs.
• Interface with groups supporting regulatory training, reporting, and inspections.
