Job summary

Berklee College of Music is seeking a Director of Student Success Advising to lead a team of professional advisors and oversee a large undergraduate cohort. You will leverage predictive analytics to inform retention and outreach, collaborating with Academic Affairs, Health & Wellness, and equity initiatives to support a diverse student body.

Responsibilities include direct advising, coaching at-risk students, and tracking milestones to ensure timely degree completion.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• 7+ years in undergraduate advising; 3+ years supervising staff.
• Proficient with predictive analytics and Student Information Systems (SIS).
• Able to collaborate with diverse, global student body and campus partners.

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Leadership: guide the advising program.
• Team Mentorship: supervise 5–6 advisors.
• Cohort Management: oversee ~1,500 undergraduates.
• Data-Driven Success: drive KPIs with predictive analytics.
• Collaborative Advocacy: partner with Academic Affairs, Health & Wellness, Equity Leadership Team.
• Direct Advising & Success: manage caseload and outreach.
• Milestone Tracking: monitor progress in core curriculum.
