Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field is required with 2–3 years advising experience.

• Understanding of advising processes and educational requirements.
• Demonstrated technology proficiency with advising software and platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload and guide students on academic goals.
• Explain policies and monitor progress to ensure timely degree completion.
• Refer students to faculty, staff, and support offices as needed.
• Oversee Oakland Advising team: hire, supervise, mentor, train.
• Collaborate with Director to improve student support and retention strategies.
• Teach introductory courses, develop syllabi, and grade student work.
