Job summary

CesiumAstro, Inc. is seeking a Director of Business Capture in El Segundo, CA to lead the company’s government and high-value aerospace pursuits. You will establish capture strategy, manage cross-functional pursuit teams, and drive win probability across U.S.

Government opportunities. You will work with business development, proposal management, engineering, contracts, and finance to mature opportunities, evaluate risks, and position CesiumAstro for contract awards and long-term growth.

Qualifications

11–15 years of related experience in business capture, capture management, business development, or government contracting.
5+ years of leadership or management experience in business capture, business development, proposal management, or related functions.
Expert knowledge of capture management, business development, strategic opportunity management, competitive analysis, and customer engagement.
Comprehensive knowledge of federal procurement processes, customer acquisition strategies, competitive positioning, proposal development, and contract acquisition requirements.
Extensive experience directing capture organizations and coordinating pursuit resources.
Strategic understanding of aerospace and defense markets and government acquisition priorities.

Responsibilities

Direct the Business Capture function by establishing departmental objectives and capture priorities.
Lead multiple strategic capture efforts across the opportunity portfolio with allocated resources.
Evaluate pipeline health, resource utilization, and performance metrics to drive improvements.
Establish capture management strategies and customer engagement plans to improve win probability.
Partner with business development, sales, engineering, contracts, and finance to develop capture strategies.
Evaluate requirements, competitive intelligence, risks, and market conditions to guide actions.
Lead, coach, and develop Business Capture personnel for high performance.
Build cross-functional partnerships to ensure coordinated execution of pursuits.
Represent the function during executive reviews, customer engagements, and strategic planning.
Direct capture policies and processes to ensure consistent execution across operations.
Manage budgets, staffing, and tools while identifying opportunities for efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement in capture effectiveness and collaboration.
