CesiumAstro is seeking a Director, Business Capture to lead the company’s capture strategy across U.S. Government, defense, and high-value aerospace opportunities.

This leadership role directs major pursuits, sets priorities, and coordinates cross‑functional teams to qualify opportunities, plan captures, and align win strategies with organizational goals. The Director partners with BD, proposal management, engineering, contracts, finance, and program management to translate customer requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level education with 11–15 years of related experience in business capture or government contracting.
• Proven leadership in capture management, business development, or proposal management.
• Expert knowledge of capture strategy, opportunity qualification, and customer engagement.
• Knowledge of federal procurement processes and defense contracting landscape.
• Experience directing cross-functional pursuit teams and managing strategic opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Business Capture function by setting departmental objectives and capture priorities.
• Lead multiple strategic capture efforts, allocating resources and ensuring execution across the portfolio.
• Evaluate capture performance, pipeline health, and operational metrics to drive improvements.
• Establish capture strategies, qualification methodologies, and customer engagement plans.
• Collaborate with BD, sales, engineering, contracts, and finance to develop capture strategies for key opportunities.
• Assess customer requirements, competitive intelligence, risks, and market conditions to strengthen positioning.
• Lead, coach, and develop Business Capture personnel.
• Build partnerships to ensure coordinated execution of strategic pursuits.
• Represent the function in executive and opportunity reviews and customer engagements.
• Direct capture management policies and processes for consistent execution across operations.
• Manage department budgets, staffing plans, and capture technologies to improve efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvements in capture effectiveness and cross-functional collaboration.
