Job summary

PointClickCare is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the Transitions of Care engineering org. The role is remote in the US and will oversee about 50 engineers through a management structure of 10-11 managers.

The Director partners with Product Management to define roadmaps, align strategy with business priorities, and build a cohesive, high-performing organization. This leader mentors managers, drives AI-enabled product scaling, and shapes cloud-based architecture.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering leadership experience.
• Experience leading large engineering organizations with multiple management layers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven strategy, investments, and delivering business outcomes.
• Experience delivering cloud-based solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with AI technologies and scaling AI-enabled products.
• Strong technical architecture and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute roadmaps with Product Management.
• Unify multiple engineering teams into a cohesive organization.
• Define scalable, secure platform capabilities.
• Drive architecture decisions across Core and App/Platform Services.
• Coach and develop managers and senior managers.
• Prioritize technical initiatives with business value.
• Lead hiring, workforce planning, and succession.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, customer success, and executives.
• Champion Agile and Kanban and continuous improvement.
• Support AI-driven products and data ecosystem.
