Le Meridien Chicago Oakbrook Center is seeking an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to join our prestigious team. The Director of Sales & Marketing will maintain, develop, implement, and maximize the business plan with effective strategies through direct sales, digital marketing, and revenue management. This person will ensure effective internal and external communications with clients, potential customers, and ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, develop, implement, and maximize the business plan with effective strategies through direct sales, digital marketing, and revenue management. Ensure effective communication with clients, potential customers, associates, and ownership.
  • Direct sales efforts, oversee rate, date, and space commitments for group room sales.
  • Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, resolve issues, and manage staff discipline when necessary.
  • Ensure regular training programs and adherence to Crescent standards of performance.
  • Prepare reports related to sales operations, including forecasts, marketing budgets, lead management, booking reports, and sales meeting minutes.
  • Research market trends and develop new marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients and promote Crescent programs.
  • Meet with and entertain clients, some requiring travel.
  • Provide clear verbal and written direction to staff.
  • Prepare and execute the annual Sales & Marketing Plan, adjusting as needed based on market conditions.
  • Attend and organize sales meetings.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Hotel Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Local market experience highly desired.
  • Marriott brand experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, sales, and communication skills.
