Brief Description

The Hilton DFW Lakes is looking for an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to join the team! The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for the revenue and profitability of hotel rooms, catering, and Austin Ranch. Responsibilities include market positioning, advertising, public relations, rate positioning, client relationships, managing the sales team, and marketing expenses. Monthly, the role involves creating and presenting financial reports to ownership and management.

Essential Requirements
  • Lead the sales and catering team to maximize market penetration and achieve sales goals.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Management team.
  • Forecast and communicate actual booked group revenues versus goals.
  • Participate in FAMS and site inspections.
  • Strategic planning of group business to maximize revenue.
  • Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies.
  • Train sales and catering team as needed.
  • Plan to overcome forecasted shortfalls.
  • Monitor departmental spending and ensure costs are in order.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and train others on forecasting procedures.
  • Monitor expenses and anticipate variances.
  • Solicit accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets and improve market performance.
  • Work with Sales Managers on goal attainment.
  • Monitor top account production and market trends.
  • Implement promotions like sales blitzes.
  • Lead and participate in sales and revenue meetings.
  • Ensure employees provide attentive, friendly, and courteous service.
  • React to negative market trends proactively.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of hotel sales leadership experience in a full-service hotel or conference center.
  • Management experience with a sales and catering team of 5 or more.
  • Experience with Delphi PMS system.
