Position Overview

The Director of Sales and Marketing will drive organic revenue growth across both companies, craft messaging, cultivate relationships with buyers, mentor team members, and improve our processes to deliver engaging campaigns and successful sales. Success requires collaboration with team members and a commitment to continuously enhance our campaigns, prospecting, deal management, communication, and sales and marketing functions. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and eager to help expand our impact in the K-12 education market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Accountability for sales team’s bookings goals and productivity targets.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring deal flow accuracy and reliable bookings projections.
  • Network and initiate conversations with K-12 district and charter school decision-makers.
  • Improve sales processes to enhance visibility, predictability, and repeatability.
  • Understand buyer requirements and use cases.
  • Manage end-to-end deals and negotiate contract terms and pricing with buyers.

Marketing:

  • Assist in determining marketing themes and key content pieces; oversee content development.
  • Recommend improvements to our digital marketing footprint—website, paid, earned, social media.
  • Oversee our marketing automation/CRM system and prospect database—HubSpot.
  • Define metrics and attribution models to measure campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; 5+ years in SaaS sales/marketing.
  • Proven ability to manage the full deal process from outreach to demos to negotiations with decision-makers.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate our products clearly.
  • A people-first leader with strong mentoring, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to build relationships at various levels with prospects and clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
