We are seeking an account director, skilled in implementing and overseeing marketing projects for clients in the food production and retail grocery industries.
Compensation Package: $95,000 -$125,000 (DOE) - Plus health/vision/dental insurance, bonus program, paid time off, paid holidays, paid cell phone, and provided equipment.

Our work primarily focuses on brand development, go-to-market, and product commercialization activities, helping our clients gain retail and foodservice distribution. Much of this work is related to meeting the needs of retailers, and understanding consumers’ path-to-purchase — including packaging design, in-store merchandising, and tradeshow marketing.
The successful candidate for the account director role will implement marketing programs for assigned clients, and ensure we meet expectations and grow revenue from these clients. We expect the account director to attain these goals by leading our team to deliver exceptional work; anticipating clients’ needs; managing clients’ marketing programs to achieve extraordinary results; presenting clients with exciting and strategically-sound ways to grow their business; and building relationships that not only endure, but also inspire referrals.
This is not a sales role, nor will a background in digital marketing be of much use. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the perishable food and retail grocery environments, with experience in packaging and merchandising design, retail promotions, and tradeshow experience design and execution.
While we are seeking an account director in California (Salinas- or Fresno-area preferred), during the first year of employment while learning the ropes and getting up to speed as a new Moxxer, some of the daily work will be done during the Eastern time zone business hours, as that’s where some of our team is based and collaboration with them is necessary. This will shift over time and as the account director is able operate more independently, with the goal of operating primarily in the Pacific time zone. However, our president/CEO is based in South Florida, and you will be working with her closely.
This is a full-time, 5-day-per-week staff position. It is a leadership role, and up to 20% of your time could be spent traveling to visit clients, attending conferences, and meeting with the Moxxy team. The job requires reliability and schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities & Duties:
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients
• Handle day-to-day activities for assigned clients
• Lead team in preparing client proposals, marketing communications and strategic marketing plans, media and public relations plans
• Coordinate with president/CEO and creative team to select and procure outside purchases and freelance services
• Prepare job estimates and proposals and present to clients for approval
• Lead the development of marketing strategies, creative and content/copy
• Oversee activation/execution of approved programs/projects
• Provide designers, media, web personnel and freelancers with well-documented input, support data and production materials to ensure projects are clearly defined
• Lead client meetings
• Proactively monitor all aspects of job deliverables and profitability
• Keep apprised of clients’ brands/products/services/marketing developments
• Represent the agency at industry functions—promoting the agency at every opportunity
