Job summary

The Charles Hotel in Harvard Square is seeking a Director of Rooms to oversee the entire Rooms Division, including Front Office, Concierge, Guest Recognition, PBX, Housekeeping, Valet Laundry, and Valet Parking. You will ensure smooth stays, maximize revenue, and uphold the highest service standards in Cambridge.

This full-time leadership role requires a proven track record, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Valid driver's license from the applicable state.
• Able to work effectively under pressure and make quick, solid decisions.
• Strong communicator who listens and conveys ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Rooms Division and oversee Front Office, Concierge, PBX, Housekeeping, and related areas.
• Drive revenue, service standards, and guest satisfaction across all rooms operations.
• Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team aligned with standards.
• Manage budgets, analyze performance, and ensure smooth operations.
