Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Patient Access revenue cycle through registration, scheduling and pre-certification services. You will collaborate with Patient Accounts to reduce charge delays and denials, and design systematic processes to ensure accurate patient and billing dispositions.

You will direct managers and staff to achieve goals, optimize upfront collections and minimize denials, while delivering reliable financial and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, Healthcare Admin, or related field.
• Five years of supervisory/management experience in healthcare revenue cycle.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with analytical ability.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; knowledge of coding/billing terminology helpful.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities within clinic Patient Access areas including registration and centralized scheduling.
• Collaborate with Patient Accounts to address charge delays, denials and root cause mitigation.
• Design and implement processes for accurate patient and billing disposition.
• Direct activities of managers/supervisors and staff to ensure excellent customer service.
• Plan and implement approaches to maximize upfront collections and minimize denials.
• Provide statistical reporting, budgeting, productivity, and regulatory reporting.
