Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking an experienced leader to oversee resident services in our senior housing communities. You will coordinate health, dining, and facilities services, oversee activities, and communicate with residents and families.

The role requires a four-year degree, LALD certification (or willingness to obtain in 2 years), and substantial experience in senior housing. Strong supervisory, communication, and community relations skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in a related field plus 2+ years in Senior Housing and/or Assisted Living or 5+ years direct experience in Senior Housing/Assisted Living
• LALD certification or willingness to obtain within 2 years
• Experience relating to aging population
• Knowledge of Housing with Services model as structured in MN Statute 144G
• Healthcare background or familiarity with medical conditions
• Knowledge of community resources and care options
• Knowledge of supervisory practices
• Excellent oral and written communication; comfortable with public speaking and community networking
• Proficient in computer use and record-keeping
• Ability to facilitate resident and family conferences
• Reading, writing, and basic math in English

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company directives per Employee Handbook and ensure staff compliance
• Maintain strong relationships with potential residents, families, caregivers, staff, board, and Great Lakes Management
• Supervise staff, provide direction, correct when needed, and evaluate performance
• Assist with identifying staffing needs and with recruitment/evaluation of candidates
• Coordinate with clients and staff to address housing and personal/health service needs
• Coordinate discharge and placement with hospital and nursing home social workers
• Participate in pre-admission screening for residency eligibility
• Market programs to potential residents requiring services
• Provide information about community resources to residents and families
• Welcome and orient new residents; oversee orientation and transitions
• Complete paperwork for Resident Services; maintain records and provide weekly reports
• Develop procedures to track service clients and maintain follow-up
• Assist in Life Enrichment budgets
• Coordinate internal communications and update service materials
