Job summary

Montachusett Recovery Center (MRC) in Leominster, MA seeks a Program Director to lead Recovery Support Services (RSS) and supervise Recovery Coaches and Navigators. The role balances strategic oversight with direct, person-centered recovery support during high-demand periods.

The Director will ensure program quality, data reporting, and collaboration with partners, while maintaining adherence to grant and insurer expectations. Based at our Leominster location with periodic meetings and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, public health, or closely related field is required.
• Master’s degree is required or preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in substance use/recovery support, behavioral health, or related setting.
• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong recovery-oriented, person-centered, and trauma-informed approaches; familiarity with harm reduction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily RSS program operations to ensure a safe, recovery-positive environment.
• Supervise Recovery Coaches and Navigators; provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with contractual/regulatory requirements and reporting.
• Track metrics and prepare reports for leadership and funders.
• Coordinate with treatment providers, hospitals, and community partners.
