Humana seeks a Director of Segment Quality Engineering to advance quality practices across a defined technology portfolio. You will lead teams delivering quality, test automation, release readiness, and continuous improvement across product lines.

Reporting to the AVP, Quality Engineering - Segment, you will partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Platform, DevOps, and enterprise quality to embed quality throughout the SDLC and improve release confidence and production stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in software/quality engineering or related technical disciplines.
• 5+ years leading quality engineering or software delivery teams in large enterprise settings.
• Experience guiding quality engineering across multiple agile teams or complex portfolios.
• Proven success in modernization including automation, tooling, and metrics-driven execution.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with API/UI/integration/end-to-end testing and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across matrixed orgs.

Responsabilités

• Lead quality engineering across a defined portfolio or set of products.
• Build and coach high-performing quality teams including managers and engineers.
• Drive automation-first practices to improve test coverage and speed.
• Oversee planning and execution of functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Partner with Engineering/DevOps to support release readiness and deployments.
• Lead defect management, root-cause analysis, and trend identification.
• Integrate quality signals and gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support testing modernization for APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
• Coordinate non-functional testing including performance, resiliency, and security validation.
• Use metrics to drive quality improvements and portfolio maturity.
