Job summary

Gen II Fund Services, LLC is seeking a Fund Accounting Director to lead day-to-day accounting and fund administration for multiple investment sponsors. You will supervise teams, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain client relationships with auditors and bankers.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in fund accounting, 5+ years supervisory experience, and a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Economics or Finance. Hybrid US role with a competitive bonus and benefits package.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of fund accounting experience in PE or similar financial institution.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of partnership agreements and waterfall models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day accounting and fund administration for multiple sponsors.
• Hands-on prep and review of workpapers, investments, accruals and statements.
• Interact heavily with clients on a daily basis at executive level.
• Engage auditors, lawyers and banking contacts to maintain relationships.
• Lead and coach Staff Accountants across levels.
• Oversee setup of client funds deliverables (capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, IRRs).
• Manage special projects as needed.
