Job summary

Gen II Fund Services, LLC is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to lead and mentor teams across the private equity fund lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence and client service. You will oversee fund operations, manage existing funds, and interface with sponsors.

The role requires CPA and 7+ years PE fund accounting, strong MS Office skills, and a proven ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work in New York with competitive compensation and discretionary bonus.

• 7+ years of Private Equity Fund accounting & reporting experience.
• Ability to learn on-the-job quickly and apply solutions.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Management and supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Fund Operations with Director/Managing Director oversight.
• Manage the operations and accounting of existing funds independently.
• Interface with clients and the business with limited guidance.
• Extract key economics from LPAs and document thorough summaries.
• Supervise, manage, and direct a small accounting staff when required.
• Oversee initial setup of client fund deliverables (capital calls, distributions, financial statements, waterfalls, IRRs) and review before MD review.
• Review financial reports and capital events across various private equity transactions.
