Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Program Director, Power Delivery Solutions to lead the delivery of engineering services for multiple programs. The role requires coordinating technical teams, managing schedules and costs, and ensuring quality across all project phases.

Located in the Washington DC area and surrounding regions, the PD will partner with PMO and BD teams to maximize client value and program outcomes. A strong background in power delivery engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering and 10+ years of experience in electric utility engineering.
• Functional understanding of electrical, civil, structural and mechanical engineering as applied to power delivery.
• Advanced understanding of the electric power utility industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent team-building and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of engineering and professional services on assigned programs.
• Engage technical teams, review progress, and maximize program outcomes with engineering managers.
• Review program scope to meet contract and technical requirements; identify value opportunities.
• Monitor schedule performance and improve adherence through oversight and communication.
• Assess cost performance and drive cost-saving measures; use standardization and tools to reduce costs.
• Develop quality controls and refine processes to improve deliverables.
• Collaborate with Section Managers on engineering activities and resource management.
• Partner with PMO to optimize program management; assist in issue resolution and deep dives.
• Develop financial forecasts and coordinate with BD/AM on client initiatives.
• Support VP-T&S on special projects.
