Job summary

Dave & Buster's is seeking a Director of Platform Engineering to lead backend platforms, APIs, and enterprise integrations. You will shape modernization roadmaps, implement cloud-native patterns, and drive secure delivery across teams.

Responsibilities include establishing reliability programs, observability, and scalable platform standards while mentoring leaders and influencing executives in a fast-paced entertainment and hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or leadership.
• 5+ years leading engineering organizations and managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise software engineering teams responsible for backend platforms, integrations, APIs, and enterprise applications.
• Establish engineering strategy aligned with business objectives and roadmaps for platform modernization.
• Drive modern engineering practices, cloud-native design, and platform-based delivery models.
• Define standards for APIs, integrations, microservices, and reusable components.
• Oversee DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, automation, and secure-by-design delivery.
• Establish SRE practices, set SLOs/SLIs, and improve observability and reliability.
