Directive Consulting is seeking a Director of Creative to lead the Performance Design team in a remote-first US setting. This role blends strategic direction, financial ownership, and hands-on leadership to elevate creative output across paid media, display, video, and landing pages.

You’ll scale a proven methodology, manage a multi-disciplinary team, and partner with senior leadership to drive margin growth and client impact. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in creative roles within performance marketing or growth-focused agency environments.
• Proven track record leading creative teams and balancing creative quality with business outcomes.
• Comfortable presenting department strategy and financial projections to VPs and CMOs, just as much as reviewing a creative brief.

Responsibilities

• Own the creative vision and quality standards for the Performance Design department.
• Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team of designers and motion contractors.
• Partner with paid media and client success teams to ensure data-informed creative from the start.
• Own and manage the department P&L, margins, and resourcing decisions.
• Lead adoption of AI creative tools across the team and integrate them into production workflows.
