Job summary

HHM Hotels in Tampa is seeking a Director of People Support to lead human resources at the property level. You will oversee recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and HR compliance while partnering with hotel leadership to strengthen employee engagement and culture.

Reporting to the regional/corporate People Support function, you will build people practices to support growth in the Tampa market and develop scalable programs across the property.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• 3-5 years HR experience; hotel HR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with centralized People Support teams to administer benefits, leave, training and employee relations programs at the property level.
• Interview, select, train, coach and support associates ensuring standards and HHM core values are met.
• Manage talent acquisition: post jobs, source candidates, interview and select for hotel managers.
• Process new hires per standards and laws.
• Foster positive work culture and fair treatment of associates.

HHM Hotels is expanding our footprint in the Tampa market and seeking a People Support Director to lead human resources at the property level. In this role, you will oversee recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and HR compliance. Partnering with hotel leadership, you will strengthen employee engagement, guide people practices, and build a positive workplace culture while supporting our growth in the Tampa market.

Essential Job Functions

• Coordinate with HHM Hotels centralized People Support functionalteamsto ensure benefits, compensation, leave of training and employee relations programs are effectively communicated and administered at the property level.
• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.
• Manage and perform talent acquisition functions such as posting jobs, proactively sourcing candidates, interviewing and ensuring selection by hotel managers of the best qualified candidates.
• Process new hires consistent with established standards and applicable state, federal and local laws and regulations.
• Perform employee relations activities related to creating a positive work culture, ensuring fairness in the workplace and unbiased assistance with associate issues and concerns.
• Develop and/or implement training programs as needed.
• Perform activities relate to creating and maintaining a performance drive culture that recognizes and rewards good performance and effectively addresses poor performance in a manner consistent with established standards and procedures.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• 3 -5 years previous Human Resources experience, hotel HR experience preferred.
