Job summary

Company Employees Federal Credit Union seeks a Director of Payments to lead strategy and operations across card services, ACH, wires, and digital payments. You’ll drive member satisfaction, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with NACHA, Reg E, Reg Z, PCI DSS, FFIEC, while guiding fintech integrations.

You will build and manage a payments team, collaborate with IT, Digital Banking, Marketing, and Finance, and manage vendor relationships to ensure SLAs and security standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum five years in financial services with focus on payments and at least two years in a leadership role.
• Deep understanding of U.S. payments landscape including card networks, ACH, RTP, Zelle, FedNow.
• Proven vendor management, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the payments strategy aligned with member needs.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging tech to stay cutting edge.
• Oversee all payments operations: debit/credit/prepaid, ACH, wires, digital, P2P, merchant services.
• Establish KPIs for performance, experience, and efficiency.
• Lead risk and compliance with NACHA, Reg E, Reg Z, PCI DSS, FFIEC.
