M&T Bank is seeking a Director to lead the bank-wide payment operations, ensuring safe, compliant execution across ACH, wires, RTP, Zelle, and digital assets. This role drives operational excellence, cost management, and strategic initiatives while delivering top-tier client service.

Responsibilities include overseeing multiple sites, establishing KPIs, partnering with Technology, and developing a high-performing team to support ongoing payment modernization and fraud prevention efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 11+ years of relevant work experience, or 15 years combining higher education and experience.
• Minimum 4 years in managerial leadership roles with accountability for results.
• Strong capabilities in process improvement, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end payment operations across ACH, wires, RTP, Zelle, and digital assets.
• Drive process optimization, automation, and workflow improvements.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, error rates, and throughput.
• Ensure compliance with NACHA, ISO, Reg E, UCC, BSA/AML, OFAC, and fraud controls.
• Oversee multiple sites, capacity planning, and budgeting across cost centers.
• Partner with Technology for platform upgrades and payment modernization.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing payments operations team.
• Manage third-party payment processors and vendor performance.
