We are seeking an experienced, business‑minded Operating Director to lead daily operations and drive the continued growth of an established private home care organization in Dallas, Texas.

This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for someone who combines strong operational management, business judgment, and an entrepreneurial mindset. The ideal candidate is confident in making independent decisions, holding teams accountable, improving processes, and identifying opportunities for business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations & Financial Performance

• Oversee overall business operations and maintain responsibility for profit and loss (P&L) performance.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that support business growth and profitability.
• Make independent, business‑level decisions to address operational challenges and improve performance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen service delivery.

Team Leadership & Accountability

• Directly oversee scheduling operations, including a team of two schedulers.
• Provide leadership and oversight to HR and training functions.
• Establish clear expectations, monitor performance, and hold team members accountable.
• Build a culture of professionalism, ownership, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.

Sales & Business Development

• Support and participate in sales initiatives to expand the client base.
• Work with the team to identify growth opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
• Help develop strategies to scale the organization while maintaining high service standards.

Caregiver Retention & Service Excellence

• Prioritize caregiver engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
• Maintain strong workforce stability and support the organization’s exceptional caregiver retention performance.
• Ensure operational issues, staffing challenges, and client concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Provide high‑level oversight of the 24/7/365 on‑call escalation process.
• Step in when complex operational or staffing issues require leadership intervention.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, urgency, and professionalism when making critical decisions.

Qualifications & Ideal Background

• Proven experience in operations management, general management, or business leadership.
• Experience overseeing multiple business functions, teams, and operational processes.
• Strong understanding of business performance, financial management, and P&L responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, establish accountability, and make autonomous decisions.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and execute business growth opportunities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, people‑driven environment where staffing reliability and customer satisfaction are critical.

Industry Experience:

Candidates with home care, home health, private duty, or healthcare operations experience are encouraged to apply.

We are also open to strong operational leaders from other industries, particularly those with experience managing high‑volume, people‑driven businesses such as restaurant groups, hospitality, retail, and franchise operations.

Experience managing large hourly workforces, employee retention, scheduling challenges, and frequent call‑offs will be particularly valuable.
