Job summary

Counseling Works, a growing behavioral health group practice, seeks an Director of Operations to own all operational teams, processes, and metrics. You will lead leaders across intake, billing, facilities, outreach, and technology, ensuring smooth daily performance and scalable growth.

You’ll be accountable for EOS scorecards, weekly leadership cadence, and driving KPI-driven improvements while enabling clinicians to focus on client care. Hybrid work across multiple Chicago suburbs is supported.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading operations teams in healthcare
• Experience managing managers and accountability to measurable results
• Working knowledge of the revenue cycle: intake, eligibility, credentialing, billing, and collections
• Comfort building and running a scorecard and making decisions from data
• Strong grasp of HIPAA and responsible handling of client information
• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, human services, or related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations team. Run weekly one-on-ones and department meetings, coach leads, oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance for operations seats
• Design each department's KPIs, maintain the operations scorecard and dashboards
• Oversee the client and revenue journey from first inquiry to payment (marketing, referrals, intake, scheduling, eligibility, billing, credentialing)
• Build and maintain documented systems for facilities, vendors, tech access, data security, and HIPAA safeguards
• Translate quarterly Rocks into concrete, actionable plans and drive growth initiatives
