Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred in related field.
• CDM certification preferred.
• Experience in dietary management in healthcare or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the dietary department.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local health codes.
• Create nutritionally balanced menus with a Registered Dietitian.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and costs within budget.
• Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff; promote teamwork.
• Monitor food prep and service for quality and safety.
• Collaborate with nursing to address resident dietary needs.
• Maintain records for menus, meal counts, and resident data.
• Participate in care plan meetings as needed.
