Ecumen Pathstone is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing department in delivering high-quality elder care within a comprehensive care campus in Mankato, MN. The role oversees standards, goals, and resources to support residents’ highest practicable well-being.

Responsibilities include policy compliance, staff supervision, QA tracking, budget management, and coordination with social services for admissions and discharges.

Formación

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• RN license in the state of practice is required and must be maintained.
• Minimum of three years of related nursing experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
• Thorough knowledge of Federal and State Regulations and related care planning processes or willingness to obtain training.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure site policies and procedures meet state and federal requirements and all rules and regulations are followed.
• Supervise nursing department personnel and ensure quality of care, with performance feedback and development support.
• Promote effective working relationships with the multi-disciplinary team, medical staff, volunteers and affiliated agencies.
• Track and monitor all quality assurance projects.
• Coordinate nursing staff meetings, care conferences, QA meetings, educational programs and required annual trainings.
• Manage department budget and allocate resources appropriately.
• Collaborate with social services on pre-admission screening and discharge planning to ensure care needs are met.
• Review complaints and respond timely per policy, escalating where needed to the Executive Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Director of Nursing is responsible for evaluating and improving the quality of nursing care, supervising the nursing department, and managing nursing resources. This position is responsible for establishing standards, goals, objectives to assist residents with achieving or maintaining their highest practicable level of physical, spiritual and psychosocial well-being.

Schedule

• Typical business hours that can vary based on business needs.
• On-Call requirement & Leader on Duty rotation.

Pay

• The targeted pay range for this job is$110,000 - $135,000 per year.
• Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certificates, licenses, and education.

Essential job responsibilities include

1. Ensures that site policies and procedures meet state and federal requirements as well as all rules and regulations are adhered to.
2. Supervises nursing department personnel and ensures quality of nursing care provided by setting clear expectations and objectives. Provides feedback and support for professional development.
3. Promotes effective working relationships with the multi-disciplinary team, medical staff, volunteers and agencies affiliated with the nursing home.
4. Responsible for tracking and monitoring all quality assurance projects.
5. Coordinates and facilitates nursing staff meetings, care conferences, quarterly Quality Assurance meetings, educational programs, in-services and ensuring annual educational requirements for all nursing personnel are met.
6. Manages department budget and appropriate allocation of resources.
7. Works with social service department in pre-admission screening and discharge of residents to ensure ability to provide care.
8. Reviews complaints and responds timely and appropriately in accordance with policy and procedures. Appropriately advances complaints and responses to Executive Director.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse within the state in which working and must maintain licensure
• Three years of related nursing experience
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
• Thorough knowledge of Federal and State Regulations, MDS/RAI process, OBRA reimbursements systems, case mix, Medicare Care planning, or the willingness to obtain training in these areas
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Previous experience working with seniors
