Job summary

Creative Solutions in Healthcare - South is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing services and shape resident care. The role emphasizes compliance, staff management, and collaboration with physicians to implement individualized care plans.

You will actively support direct care on the floor when needed and mentor nursing staff to continuously improve outcomes. Texas RN licensure is required for this leadership position.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing in the State of Texas or applicable state.
• Demonstrated leadership in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
• Strong clinical skills and restorative care approach.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services in line with company, state, and federal guidelines.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of nursing staff.
• Step in on the floor to support direct care when needed to maintain quality.
• Review payroll submissions for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor resident records for accuracy and proper documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Ensure nursing staff have timely access to equipment and supplies.
• Coach and mentor staff to improve performance and outcomes.
