Schedule : Monday – Friday, Days (Normal Business Hours)

On-Call : Required

Salary : $96,000 – $147,000 / year (Relocation assistance available, higher pay based on experience)

Direct Reports : 15-20 FTEs (including EKG Techs, Echo Techs, and a Charge Analyst)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at our hospital. This role provides leadership and oversight of nursing services, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care. The Director will be responsible for 24/7 accountability for the Cath Lab, working closely with senior leadership and interdisciplinary teams to drive clinical excellence and operational success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the Cath Lab, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality care.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, fostering professional development.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, and executive leadership to improve patient outcomes.
  • Manage staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation to optimize department performance.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications

Education :

Required : Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.

Preferred : MSN or a Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field.

Experience :

Required : 2-3 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.

Preferred : Leadership or management experience within a hospital setting.

Licenses / Certifications :

Active RN license in the state of Texas (or eligibility for Texas licensure).

AHA BLS Certification : required.
