Job summary

Altercare Canal Winchester is hiring a Director of Nursing (RN) to join its dedicated team in Canal Winchester, OH. You will plan, organize and deliver nursing care in line with current state and federal regulations, with a focus on quality outcomes and resident satisfaction.

The role requires ADON/DON experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, BSN preferred, and current licensure in the state of employment.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred.
• Experience: 5 years in Skilled Nursing preferred.
• Certificate/ License: (1) Current licensure in the state employed (2) CPR certification and (3) driver’s license preferred.
• Strong desire to provide quality care to our residents.
• Detail and Quality Process Oriented.

Responsibilities

• As the Director of Nursing you are responsible for establishing and implementing standards of resident care on a 24-hour basis.
• Development and maintenance of nursing service objectives, facility and departmental policies and procedures, standards of practice, methods of coordination of nursing services with other disciplines and adherence to all corporate, state and federal requirements.
• Assists in the development of the facility's annual budget and monitors the departmental expenditures.
• Operates the healthcare components in accordance with the established policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Coordinates nursing service with community agencies, physicians, families, residents, consultants, ancillary service providers and other departments within the facility.
