Your Job: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents, in accordance with physician orders and residents' needs. The Director of Nursing will inherit a 5-star facility with a deficiency-free survey. Responsibilities include 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services, maintaining quality standards per Federal, State, and company regulations, and assuming operational responsibilities in the absence of the Administrator. The position involves conducting the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—under the scope of the State’s Nurse Practice Act.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate comprehensive care plans for residents, ensuring compliance with physician’s orders, regulations, and policies.
  • Communicate policies to staff and monitor practice implementation.
  • Participate in admissions decisions and visit prospective residents.
  • Attend management meetings to discuss resident status, census, personnel, and concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed RN in the state of practice.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • At least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience; 5 years in long-term or acute care preferred.
