We are seeking a Director of Nursing to join our team!


Hospital Details

Vibra Specialty Hospital of Portland, located in Portland, OR, is a 65-bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care services for complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular issues, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly environment where you can build close relationships with patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall operations of the assigned nursing unit, ensuring the delivery of efficient, high-quality patient care 24/7. Collaborates with staff and management to develop systems and procedures for daily operations, providing training, support, and problem-solving to meet objectives.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or in a current program with an expected completion within 2 years.
  • Valid, active RN license in the state of employment.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor.
Additional Qualifications/Skills
  • Five (5) years of experience in an acute care setting preferred, with critical care experience advantageous.
  • Knowledge of operations including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, workflow, and staff development.
  • Ability to align nursing practices with the hospital’s mission.
  • Experience in recruiting and hiring qualified staff.
  • Professional demeanor and image.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Proficiency with computer and software applications relevant to the role.
  • Clear of illegal drug use and free from substance effects in the workplace.
