What it's like to be a Director of Nursing at Four Winds Manor?
As the Director of Nursing at Four Winds Manor, Inc., you will take on full-time administrative responsibilities, working closely with the Nursing Home Administrator to ensure the highest standards of care delivery across nursing, pharmacy, therapy, and medical record/supply services. In this role, you will consult regularly with the Medical Director and manage a dedicated team to provide care that aligns with professional standards, facility philosophy, and regulatory compliance.
You will develop and implement policies reflecting current laws and promote continuous quality improvement. Collaborating with the Nursing Home Administrator, you will strategically allocate resources to empower residents to achieve their highest practicable level of physical, mental, psychosocial, and spiritual well-being. Your leadership will guide professionals and staff in coordinating care that prioritizes residents' best interests, ensuring excellence in service delivery.
What You Need To Be Successful
Candidates must possess an Associate Degree in Nursing, with a Baccalaureate preferred, and hold a current, unencumbered RN license in Wisconsin. A minimum of five years of nursing experience in a long-term care setting is required, with two years in nursing service administration or management preferred.
Physical demands include standing, walking, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and repetitive motions. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and empathy are essential. Candidates should be energetic, forward-thinking, and committed to high healthcare standards.
