Job summary
The City of Aurora is seeking a talented golf program leader to plan, manage, and administer its golf operations across five courses. This senior role includes supervision of five Head Golf Professionals and five Golf Course Superintendents, plus budget oversight and strategic planning for short- and long-term goals.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in public golf management, financial stewardship, and customer-focused leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in golf course management, business administration, horticulture, or closely related field.
- At least five years progressively responsible supervisory experience in golf course management positions.
- Master's degree and PGA/GCSAA/CMC certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Golf Division as an enterprise fund supporting five courses.
- Hire, manage, and evaluate five Head Golf Professionals and five Golf Course Superintendents.
- Oversee budgeting, purchasing, marketing, and concession contracts for the Golf Fund.
- Oversee capital spending and coordination with other divisions on projects.
- Direct golf programming, instruction, and lesson curriculum across facilities.
