Job summary

City of Phoenix Park & Rec seeks a Head Golf Professional to provide strategic leadership, oversee eight city-owned courses, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and align operations with city policies. Lead a high-performing team and collaborate with course maintenance and admin staff to safeguard assets and deliver value.

This role requires PGA/LPGA membership, senior golf operations experience, and strong budgeting and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of the PGA or LPGA.
• Three years of experience as Head Golf Professional or as the first assistant to a Head Golf Professional.
• Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
• All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
• This position requires use of a personal or City vehicle on City business; must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for eight city golf facilities.
• Deliver extraordinary guest experiences and lead high-performing teams.
• Collaborate with course maintenance and Golf Course Maintenance supervisor to implement city policies and safeguard assets.
