Job summary

Chamber San Mateo County in Belmont, CA, seeks a Director, Membership Services to drive membership growth, engagement, and revenue diversification while leading strategic initiatives with the President & CEO. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in membership development, operational leadership, and/or revenue generation.
• Demonstrated success in selling advertising, sponsorships and/or fundraising initiatives.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style.
• Experience in project management and cross-functional team coordination.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills; able to present to community members and members.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for community building and dedication to the Chamber’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to grow membership across diverse businesses and sectors.
• Collaborate with the President & CEO to design a diverse portfolio of member benefits and services.
• Present Chamber programs and benefits to non-members throughout San Mateo County to drive membership.
• Maintain accurate member data and a comprehensive membership database.
• Lead retention programs for first-year and multi-year members; execute personalized follow-ups.
• Serve as staff liaison to the President & CEO for membership activities and strategies.
• Develop strategic plans to recruit new members and secure sponsorships/investments for Chamber programs.
• Sell Chamber memberships and develop sales materials and competitive advertising rates.
• Plan and attend Chamber events and represent the Chamber at member events.
• Oversee budgeting and revenue analysis to inform financial planning.
